Raquel’s journey into midwifery is driven by her passion for supporting and empowering parents through one of life’s most transformative experiences. A graduate of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Raquel holds an associate’s degree in Midwifery, where she honed her skills in providing a fulfilling and safe birthing experience for families.

A Commitment to Personalized Care

Raquel is dedicated to offering a gentle and unobtrusive presence during birth, ensuring that parents are well-informed and confident in their abilities. Her unique approach blends empathy with practical knowledge, helping you navigate your birthing experience with assurance. Whether you are a first-time parent, dealing with a prior traumatic birth, seeking a VBAC, facing breastfeeding challenges, or adjusting to parenthood, Raquel’s experience and skills are tailored to meet your needs.

A Foundation of Education and Experience

Before venturing into midwifery, Raquel earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from St. Cloud State University. With over 12 years of teaching experience, she specialized in working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders. Raquel furthered her expertise with a Master of Arts in Education from St. Catherine’s University, focusing on fostering resiliency in students.

Beyond Midwifery: Raquel’s Personal Touch

Outside of her professional life, Raquel enjoys gardening, preserving food, vegan food, kayaking, camping and hiking, 

She treasures spending time with her children, finding joy and balance in her personal life. Her active involvement in the midwifery community includes membership in the Wisconsin Guild of Midwives, Midwifery Today, and OOH MAMA (Out of Hospital Madison Area Midwives Association).
