Midwifery Fees
Blissful Midwifery offers a comprehensive global midwifery service for families in Madison and the surrounding areas.
Our standard fee is $5000, but for those paying out of pocket, we provide a discounted rate of $4500. This fee includes all services, with payment plans available and the balance due by 36 weeks of gestation. A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot.
Unfortunately, Madison Area HMO, Dean Care, Quarts, and Group Health Cooperative do not currently cover out-of-hospital midwives or home births. However, we accept Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts, and we proudly accept Badger Care Plus.
Our all-inclusive fee covers:
- All prenatal and postpartum visits at home
- Routine lab tests
- Continuous labor support
- Lactation assistance
- Use of a professional birth pool
- Placenta encapsulation
Families are encouraged to purchase a homebirth supply kit for around $60 plus the cost of the pool liner and fishnet.
Please note that there is no reduction in fee for late entry into care, reduced or declined services, or a fast birth. For more information or to discuss payment options, please contact us directly.
